This past Wednesday, 11/11/15, the production team met for our first, official Pre-Production meeting on Life Ends @ 30.
Initially conceived as a feature film it has since evolved into a web series. Each of the six episodes will be roughly fifteen minutes. We are aiming to shoot the Pilot in January.
There were a few things we had to settle on first:
Step 1: Connect with fans – you guys. We have a story and we want to share it. Because it’s 2015 this means social media sites – Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and this Tumblr. (The links are in the prior article).
Step 2: Locations. The pilot only has a few locations but we need to lock down where we are going to shoot – knowing well in advance will make our lives easier down the road. The locations include (SPOILERS): a living room, movie theatre, and a bar.
Step 3: Casting. What’s a production without a cast. We are reaching out to our casting agency contacts to find our two main characters (more on them later).
Feeling left out, the so-called “Creative Side” aka Mike and Dave decided afterwards to put together a shot list and determine the desired look and feel of the pilot/series.
So here we are, knee-deep in pre-production. While we have lots of work to do our sights are set on our mid-January production date.
Stayed tuned for more updates.
